Movie Posters Printing
Movie posters are used to promote or advertise a film. They usually contain the title of the movie, a tag line, the names of the main actors and actresses, the director, the producers, and the release date. They are posted inside and outside movie theaters, on the street, or in shops. Movie posters are produced and printed in a variety of sizes, and in a large amount to meet advertising needs. However, movie posters are not just used to advertise films. For some people, especially movie enthusiasts and regular movie-goers, movie posters serve as a memorabilia of their favorite movies.
Movie Poster Sizes
Movie posters sizes vary from one country to another. The sizes of movie posters in other countries such as France, Italy and Japan differ from the sizes of American movie posters. The standard movie poster size in the US, and the most commonly used as well, is the One-Sheet movie poster (27" x 40"). Originally, One-Sheet sized movie posters measured 27 x 41 inches. Another movie posters size is the DS One-Sheet poster or double-sided posters, which has the printing both on the front and on the back. Other movie poster sizes include Still 8 x 10 inches, Lobby Card 14 x 11, Window Card 14 x 22, 1/2 sheet, 30 x 40 Heavy Stock Posters, 40 x 60 inches, 81 x 24 inches, 3-Sheet Movie posters 41 x 81 inches, 6-Sheet Movie Posters 81 x 81 inches, and Billboard or 24-sheet Movie posters.
