The continuous development in the printing industry has made large format printers cheaper and more economical. Today printing large sized requirements like 13x20, 20x30 and bigger prints is possible even for amateur printers. Basically a large format printer is nothing more than your typical desktop inkjet printer only that it was made larger in size. An example of such printer is the large format inkjet printer. This type of printer makes use of large page sizes and because of this it is not surprising to meet a lot of snags when printing large prints. Most expert printers that make use of this type of large format printer have printer/driver setup while others especially those inexperience printers may still require redoing or re-examining their equipment connections. A large format inkjet printer often handles paper/page sizes that are different from any average inkjet specifically when it comes to borderless or no margins printing. There are actually two methods that printers used in performing borderless printing and these are as follows: • Expand Page- this method involves increasing the size of the page so that it is larger than the physical paper size. Moreover the printer will show a printable area that is larger than the physical paper size. • Expand Prints- this is the method which is commonly employed for most standard inkjet printers. In this method the printable area remains the size of the paper and it is the prints are expanded in size. And unlike the expand page method, the expand prints is oftentimes more confusing since the print that you send will turn out to be slightly larger than you have specified.
