Medium format is basically a film format used in still photography. It also applies to any film size that ranges between 35mm and large format which is 4”x5” or more sheet film. Moreover it applies also to any type of camera that makes use of this type of film format.
Medium format was used way back in 1980s but never seem to lose it allures and this is because of the following reasons:
